Damn That's Sweet

So for one of my classes we had to work through creating a mission statement and a vision statement for ourselves. I thought I would share mine with yall.

My mission is to reflect, create, organize and implement spaces of God's kingdom for those seeking his face.

My vision is that God is using me to bring his Kingdom into the present.
Specifically by:
-Living, being and thinking as a person reconciled to God, others, and his earth.
-Making life together with my husband kingdom worthy.
-Raising my boys to love God more than life.
-Making artwork that honors God and inspires others.
-Making opportunities for others to seek after God's face.
-Creating spaces and environments that foster Kingdom thinking, living, and being

(9:54:50 AM) Xbel: he is certain that the passion god has placed in me is to reach the artsy, spritually sentive in our community... and although CORE was a great idea to do so, I (we) made the idea itself into the passion

(9:55:54 AM) Xbel: He thinks my project should be to find a way to reach/converse with these people by whatever means God shows us.... whether that is through sierra pres or not.

(10:03:07 AM) Xbel: i think phase one is finishing up some loose ends (what remains of CORE) Starting some conversations with the browns and some others (just along the lines of are you interested in what would this look like) and joining some groups (like a food coop) that would broaden the amount of friends we have that are not yet christians.

This is why you shouldn't have kids unless you have a sense of humor.... So I hear this thump. I had put the boys in the bath tub and was talking with my mom int the living room. Assuming they were throwing the wash cloth against the wall I yelled to stop. Micah says they didn't throw the wash cloth. So I go back to talking with mom.

I hear another thump, and pause to listen, another thump, and another. So I go to see what they are doing. And then turned and walked strait back out cause I knew there was no way i could scold them until after I had a goo laugh.

They had taken 3 new rolls of toilet paper and put them in the tub, reducing it all down to milky white, pulpy water. They were running their hands through the water and coming up with a fist size "spit wad" and throwing those around. Ceiling, walls, themselves.... covered with wads.

I swear my kids are brilliant. They seriously know how to make a good time. Only took an hour for me and my mom to clean up too.
