Damn That's Sweet

Now that I can handle sitting for longer than two seconds I  figured I should document what all went down this month.

I had surgery on Nov. 9th.... and it was awesome!!!  The doctor said, upon removing the herniated disk, that it was like removing a pebble from betwene the vertibre of my spine.  He removed some disk fragments as well.  I woke up with out the torturous pain stabbing down my leg from my hip to my toes!  I will have a nifty little scar to show for it AND I probably now have had more stiches that you!!!

It has been two week and I am weening off the meds the Docs had me on for the three months leading up to the surgery.  That is actually going rougher than I thought it would.  Its not so much the physical withdrawls (which are mild and although irritating, they are manageable) as it is the emotional crazy that comes with it!  About every other night I go through this fast cycle of laughing, crying and then super anxious.  And it always happens as we are going to bed.  I am halfway through this weening process and hope to be done in another few weeks... although withdrawls can still effect a person 2-3 weeks after the last pill is taken.

And ofcourse, I have now hit my 20 min sitting allowence and must either go walk around or lie down.  /rolls eyes
