I had two finals this semester where I had to record myself in front of a group of people. Things I learned:
Friends and strangers are WAY easier to speak in front of than family.
Sermons are WAY easier than written, step by step, ceremonies.
My allergies have instilled a habit of rubing my nose.... a lot.
When stuck by a camera, a kid will inevitably fart.
This is a fake ordination, although its not that fake because I meant every word of it.
This sermon was suposed to be given that week that it snowed like mad on top of all the trees that still had thier fall leaves in them. Can we say mass destruction?!? So I ended up giving a shorter version in my living room with 11 kids on the floor coloring and 10 adults squished to the walls during our comunion sunday gathering the next week.
I like teaching and speaking in front of people. Partly because I am a little attention whore, and partly because I love telling people about really cool stuff. The thing is, I am a long ways from being an awesome speaker, and even though people say that it just takes practice, I hate the idea of making other people suffer through all my practicing. *sigh* I am thinking that if there is still an empty void in front of me after graduation, I might join one of those Toastmasters groups and practice there.
